I Am Two Months Old!

Now that I am two months old, the flowers on my head are getting even bigger and my blog posts are getting even later, but what can you do?

I am learning and growing so much these days! When I am not busy eating, sleeping, or crying, one of my favorite things to do is smile. Here are some of my best movie star smiles.

I am also becoming quite the cook. I help Mommy in the kitchen every day and it is a good thing I'm here because believe me, she really needs the help!

Of course, I've been spending a lot of time hanging with Dad. He is teaching me all about football. I pretend to be very interested in it, but just between us, I'm more interested in eating.

I am growing really big! Would you believe that I am even outgrowing some of my socks?

The highlight of my month was getting to go on a family vacation to the beach! It was really good to get away from the daily grind. I was so relaxed that I slept through the night all week!
Here are my vacation photos:

Now that vacation is over, I've just been hanging out looking pretty.

Oh yeah, I also got to go to church for the first time this month! I liked it, but what can I say? I have to keep Mommy and Daddy on their toes, so of course I fussed just a little. Here is a picture of me and Mommy getting ready for church.

Well, I guess that about wraps it up for month two. Stay tuned for more of my adventures, coming soon!

I Am One Month Old!

Today I am one month old! (Full disclosure: 2 days ago, I was one month old.  Mommy is a little slow updating my blog.  I will talk to her about that.  I will also talk to her about putting these enormous flowers on my head...)

Anyway, here are some of the cool things I have done this past month:

I visited my grandparents at Lake Isaac in Virginia...

I worked out in my baby gym...

I hung out with Mommy at 3am... (And 1am, and 2am, and 4am.  And all the other am's, too!)

I learned some of the lyrics to "Pour Some Sugar On Me".  Thanks, Auntie Paige!!!

I learned to take a pacifier... (Sidenote - Pacifier comes from the word "pacify".  Dictionary.com defines pacify as: To quell the anger, agitation, or excitement of.  Mommy defines it that way, too.)

I got a bath...  (This is not my first bath, this is my second bath, which was much less traumatic than my first.  Thanks, Grammy, for showing my mommy how to do it right!)

I also spent lots of time with Daddy learning about baseball! Here I am throwing my first ball...

Here I am practicing my right bent-leg slide...

Here I am watching the Phillies with Daddy.  Better luck next game, Phillies!

Here I am with Daddy before his softball championship game.  Better luck next year, Daddy!

And here I am playing with my uncle Andy in my Orioles onesie.  I'm not really an Orioles fan, but Daddy lost a bet with his friend, so sometimes I have to wear this.  I'm not sure if orange is my color, but it does make my dimples pop!

I also spent some time all swaddled up in my "Miracle Blanket".  It's called the miracle blanket because sometimes it makes me sleep for two hours at a time!  (Don't worry, I figured out how to wiggle free...)

Of course, no first month would be complete without some time spent pondering the meaning of life...

I even got to go on a date with Mommy and Daddy for their sixth wedding anniversary!  I got all dressed up...

Then we got frozen yogurt and took a walk in the park...

I learned so much this month!  I wonder what I will learn next month...

Estie's Week In Review

I am one week old today!!  And boy, what a week it has been.

I was born last Sunday (July 1st) at 1:29 pm in Mount Holly, New Jersey.

Daddy was the first one to hold me.

Here are some of my first family photos.

I had lots of visitors at the hospital.  Here are some pictures of me with my cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and friends.

The hospital was very busy.  I even squeezed in a photo shoot!  Here is one of the pictures:

Finally, it was time to go home on July 3rd.  Here I am with Mommy and Daddy, all ready to take my first car ride.

Here I am riding in the car.

And here I am arriving at my home for the very first time!!

When we got home, my Grammy and Poppy watched me while Mommy took a nap.  Then, my Gager Grandparents and my GreatGrandmom Esther and GreatGrandpop Jerry came to meet me.  I got dressed up for the occassion.  Afterward, I snuggled with Mommy and Daddy and finally got to take my hospital bracelet off.

The next day was Fourth of July! I went to my Grandmom and Poppy's house to celebrate. When I was there, I took my first nap in the pack and play. I didn't see any fireworks, but I did get to see my Great Grandmom Rickey.

I spent the next few days hanging out with Mommy and Daddy.  They like to take pictures of my big hands and feet.  One night, we sat down at the table and Mommy and Daddy actually ate a meal together.  I was wondering when we were going to do that, because Mommy and Daddy have been eating standing up at all sorts of odd hours of the day and night.  I can't imagine why!

On Friday I had my first doctor's appointment.  I hardly cried at all!  I am in the 9th percentile for weight, and about 45 percentile for head and length.  Daddy wants to know what percentile my feet are in, but the doctors don't measure that.

There are a lot of pictures of me sleeping, but these are misleading.  I don't sleep much at all.  That's because I like to eat every hour.  (I do have to gain some weight, after all).  Oh!  That reminds me.  Mommy has found lots of new reality tv shows on at 2am.  Her favorite is Gator Boys on Animal Planet.

My favorite part of the week was spending time with my Daddy.  We really like to snuggle and listen to country music together.  He goes back to work next week and I'm going to miss him so much.  But I will get to snuggle him every night when he gets home!  I will also send him plenty of texts during the day, because Mommy lets me use her phone to send him messages.  In fact, I've even gotten a few texts  and emails from my baby friends.  (Here is a Facebook message I got from my friend, Avie.)

I've also had lots of visitors who brought Mommy and Daddy lots of yummy food.

Today we celebrated my one week birthday.  Mommy made me a special hat to wear and Daddy took my picture.

Now, I am all tuckered out from the party.

Thanks for reading about my first week!  I will keep you updated on all my new adventures soon.
