I Am Eight Months Old!

I'm two thirds! Here are some highlights from my eight month photo shoot:

So much has happened this month, I don't even know where to begin! We celebrated Valentine's Day, and Mommy and I got flowers from Daddy. Mommy's were pink and mine were yellow.

I got all dressed up for Valentine's Day.

  

And I enjoyed spending time with my very first Valentine, Daddy.

Daddy's really great, but I'm sort of hoping that next year, the baby model from the Carter's catalog will want to be my Valentine. Isn't he dreamy?

Mommy thinks it's funny that I think the baby from the magazine is cute, but Daddy doesn't. Whenever Mommy mentions it, he makes a serious face like this.

                                  

Anyway, I'm a very hungry girl these days.  I like to go grocery shopping for all of my favorite foods.

                                   

I love to eat green beans, peas, oatmeal with bananas, broccoli, peaches, and lots of other stuff! 

                                   

My very favorite food is avocados. (It used to be sweet potatoes, but not anymore!) Here I am with avocados all over my face. Yummy!

Now that I am eight months old, I have lots and lots of hobbies, like:

- Playing with gadgets...

                                   

- Jumping in my jumperoo...

- Looking at stuff from an upside down perspective...

                                

- Playing peekaboo...

- And reenacting movies. Here I am doing "Weekend At Bernie's"...

                                   

Who knows? Maybe I'll be an actress someday! I do have quite the range. See?

I have learned so many new tricks this month!  Like this one:

Of course, learning tricks is really tiring, so sometimes I just like to chill out.

Or take a nap on Grandmom's lap.

                                 

All of this napping must be making my hair grow. It's getting really long and wild!

Sometimes, if I'm having a bad hair day, I just throw on a hat and head out the door.

I Am Seven Months Old!

Lucky seven! Seven is Daddy's favorite number AND it's how many months old I am. Here are the highlights from my seven month photo shoot, which was also my Valentine's day photo shoot. (You know, for efficiency reasons.)

I am growing faster than ever and doing so many new things. This month, Mommy and I went to Itsy Bitsy time at the library. I got to play with the other babies and learn songs. We played with the bubbles, parachute, and even the maracas! I loved it and I am definitely going to try to get Mommy to take me again.

Now that I am seven months old, I love music more than ever. Here is one of my favorite songs. Whenever it comes on, I stop what I am doing and smile.

Guess what? I learned to sit up this month! See?

Sometimes I get tired of sitting up, though. So I just fall over and someone is always there to catch me.

Oh, yeah. Daddy turned 30 this month! I think that means that he is 30 months old. Pretty old, huh? Here is a picture of Daddy with his birthday cake.

I love my Daddy! You know what else I love? Playing picnic! Mommy and I have a picnic every day, much to my delight.

What can I say? Life is a picnic!

Maybe once it gets warmer out we can have a real picnic outside. But for right now it is just too cold! Whenever I go outside, I have to bundle up like this:

Even though it is cold out, Mommy and I have still been able to get outside for a little bit to jog. We are hoping to run a few races together this summer, so we have to start training now. I love jogging because it means that I get to go fast! Plus, we usually listen to Disney music while we run. I think the neighbors really like that. Here I am cheering on Mommy while we jog:

I Am Six Months Old!

I'm a half! Here are some highlights from my six-month photo shoot:

Please, no more photos!

Mommy says she can't believe I'm six months old already, but I feel like I've been around forever. I mean, I've already totally taken over the place. We even converted the dining room into my new playroom. Daddy says if I keep accumulating stuff I'm going to have to do something called "pay rent."

Oh! You'll never believe what happened since my last update. Christmas! I had such a good time at Christmas. Here I am hanging out in front of my tree. Can you believe we had a tree in the house? Neither could I! I spent a lot of time looking at it and admiring the pretty lights.

Here I am with Mom and Dad before church on Christmas Eve. I sat through the whole service quiet as a mouse! Well, almost. Even the quietest mice squeak just a little bit.

Now that I've had Christmas, I am an expert present opener. But really, who needs a present when you have lots of boxes and tissue paper to play with?

Here are some pictures of me with my first Christmas stocking. It was full of fun surprises!

We tried to take a family picture on Christmas, but it didn't work out because I kept trying to eat stuff. So we ended up with a whole bunch of pictures that look like this:

  I got a lot of fun toys to play with for Christmas! Here I am playing with some of my toys.

Oh yeah, I also got to wear some really fun Christmas jammies! (So did Mommy.)

Which was a good thing, because Christmas was totally exhausting!

After Christmas came something called The New Year. I'm not sure exactly what that means, but we sure did have a big party to celebrate. Well, we had a little party. Mommy and Daddy fell asleep before ten o'clock, but I woke them up for midnight!

 

Here are some general updates on what I've been up to lately. Now that I am six months old, I'm getting a lot more adventurous. I love riding things that go really fast! Like this rocking horse:

I also love looking at myself in the mirror. Fascinating!

And boy, do I love to eat! I've eaten cereal, carrots, applesauce, and sweet potatoes. Sweet potatoes are by far my favorite! I'm a very independent girl, so I prefer to feed myself.

I learned how to wave bye bye and I've even said bye bye a couple times. I say mama and dada a lot. Here I am talking about Daddy.

I love to have fun! Sometimes, Mommy and I like to play fun games like this one.
