It's a really good thing that Mommy has a contract, because if she didn't, she'd definitely be fired! She went three whole months without helping me update my blog, and now I have to do a whole lot more work because she's so behind. Plus, she dropped her phone in the pool, and so we lost a bunch of pictures. She's lucky she had me to point it out to her and say "uh-oh", or else she would never have noticed the phone resting on the bottom of the pool. But oh, well. I'll do the best I can to update you using the pictures we do have.
Wait. Where was I? Oh, yeah. I am fifteen months old now!
My summer was so very busy with lots of fun in the sun. Here are some of the highlights.
Mommy and I wore our special flamingo outfits.
I went to the aquarium to see the fish and celebrate Shark Week.
We had a picnic in the park and went to the pool to celebrate 4th of July.
(P.S., look how little I was last year on 4th of July. I have grown so much!)
We celebrated Mommy's birthday in Cape May, New Jersey. (I know, more matching outfits.) We went to the zoo and then to The Lobster House. There were lots of animals at the zoo, like giraffes and zebras. But my favorite things were the seagulls and a cardboard cutout of Smokey the Bear. It's the simple things, really.
We celebrated Mommy and Daddy's seventh wedding anniversary at the local ball field, where Daddy's team won the softball championship! (Don't worry, Daddy took Mommy out to dinner the day beforehand, but their actual anniversary fell right on the day of the big game. Mommy just shrugged and said something like, "as usual" - whatever that means.) I had a lot of fun cheering on Daddy.
We went on vacation in the Outer Banks. I loved spending time on the beach and even got my very first pedicure!
Oh, and I wore my first pigtails! I have been sporting pigtails a lot lately, and some ponytails, too. Here are some of my favorite hairstyles.
I like to do these things because I like to be just like Mommy. Even when it comes to having my morning cup of coffee.
This is just a pretend cup of coffee, but I like it all the same. Mostly though, I just stick to drinking my "wa-wa" out of a sippy cup.
Besides "help" and "wa-wa", I say lots and lots of words. Here are some of them:
- Hi
- Bye-Bye
- Mommy
- Daddy
- Bun-bun
- Poppy
- Elmo
- Dora
- Map
- Backpack ("pack-pack")
- Cinderella ("lella")
- Uno (my stuffed poodle, "uni-uni")
- Milk
- Juice
- Banana ("na-na")
- Peas
- Cheese
- Cookie
- Cake
- Hummus ("hum")
- Pacifier ("passie")
- Bus
- Tired ("ti-terd")
- Doggie
- Kittie
- Giraffe ("raff")
- Fishie
- Bible ("ba-ba")
- Amen
- Gorilla ("lilla")
- Walk
- Moon
- Sun
- Ocean ("oshi")
- Teeth
- Bow
- Kiss
- Hug
- Hot
- Cold
- Up
- Park
- Swing
- Oh Yeah, Oh Yeah
And lots of other words, but it's tough to name them all, because I talk a lot. (A whole lot.)
Here I am saying Happy:
Here I am saying "Hey, babe!":
Here I am saying "Moo" and "Uh-oh":
When I'm not talking, I'm usually working out with Daddy, like this:
Whew! Of course, it's also a workout to practice my walking. I still don't walk on my own yet. Mainly, I just scoot around on my bottom or walk using Mommy and Daddy's hands for balance. Here's how I like to scoot around:
So that's pretty much my life as a fifteen-month-old. Mainly, I've been spending my days exploring the world around me and flapping my gums. Speaking of gums, I have a whole mouth full of teeth! All my molars came in since my last update, so we've had a few sleepless nights. Here are some pictures of me catching up on my zzzzz's. And boy, do I have a lot of catching up to do!
Now that it's fall, I have been enjoying the cooler weather. Here I am on a hayride with Mommy and Daddy to get some "punkies" (pumpkins).
I've been hanging out a lot with Daddy and watching sports, especially football.

I was so excited to go on a special fall trip to Cape May with my Grammy and Poppy! Here are some photos from my trip.
My favorite part of the trip was the Halloween celebration. I got to wear my pink kitty costume and go trick-or-treating.
After trick-or-treating, there was a Halloween parade. I just loved the parade! Here is a video of me dancing along to the music.
